    I did this several years ago while in town for a conference. While waiting to get inside, they (someone from the show) monitored the interaction in the line. The louder, more gregarious people ended up downstairs closer to Dave. Quieter types (myself included)were sent upstairs. Country singer Terry Clark was behind us -- she and her people thought she was famous enough to get downstairs and get a mention from Dave. Didn't happen. But then, what do New Yorkers know about country music? :-)
